well, as I told you before I write in English but in some part I need very GOOGOOORI Persian words so for making the post clear I will write Persian words in capital letters

I moved to this unit 3days ago... you can not imagine how I looked like when I go forth and back with a big suitcase between two buildings (a real OSKOL)
I like this unit, it has better view in compare with the previous.

I think it's necessary to clear a point for you... all my iranian friends:
Don not think just iranian ppl are always in SAHNE... yesterday when I exit the room and walking toward kitchen,as I saw my roommate and her boyfriend on the coach...I realized how Canadian ppl are in SAHNE and how they can be soooo active in making SAHNE ... (HUGH)

I never had such problem in last more than 4 months I lived in dormitory... so I decided to go up to MENBAR and explain some part of Islam for my roomie ... (of course after she got free)

some of my canadian friends told me US ppl are famous as the most stupid ppl around the world... by stupid they meant not knowing even popular events and they are in a very low level of education and general information...

however... after I explain for the roomie my limitation and ask her to make me aware when her boyfriend comes to house... she was like a very bad shocked girl... and you can not believe that she ,as a 24 girl, never heard about muslim and she thought covering body and hair is related to culture... these days I prefer not to talk about Islam and other believes with non Muslim ppl... according to my last experience, they can not at all understand your meaning and just admit your speech by shaking head without having any idea about the concept...( My last experience: last time when I tried to explain the reason behind some limitation of Islam,the boy whom I talked with suggested me to go on a date (of course he was from US) ... DAR OON LAHZE EHSAS E SHALGHAM BOODAN E MAHZ BE BANDE DAS DAD... KE CHAGHADR ALAKI DASHTAM KHOD KOSHI MIKARDAM VASE YE ZABOON NAFAHM... imagine some unwelcome concepts that I had to talk about for convincing the stupid guy)

however... new semester started yesterday... it was around 11:25 I went out the home and run toward school ... fortunately, I arrived to the class on time but when I sat on the bench ... I laughed so hard in heart when I saw my GOLMANGOLI flip flop... I forgot to wear shoes and I came to school with my GOLMAGOOLI flip flop...

the funniest part happened when I was going out the class... YE LENGE DAMPAYEEM AZ PAM DAROOMAD ... VA JALEB TARESH INJAS KE 2 , 3 GHADAM RAFTAM JELO BAD FAHMIDAM... this reminds me Cinderella Story... but not with silver shoes, with GOLMANGOOLI flip flop...

Nobel Peace prize Winner Discussion!

Hi there!

I took my mid-term exams finally… now I feel better!! If you wanna know my idea about method of examination here, I can say that mid-term exams of all courses that I took this term had very short exam-time but pretty easy questions… by easy I mean totally related to course materials… if you study enough then you must be sure to get a good grade.

I thought that first exam was supposed to be up to chapter 5, but in exam session, I got that the first question was related to chapter 5 . I was conflicted for 10 min. however it was good, not as good as I hope to be, but it was pretty good.

Hot news of these days is: “Nobel Winner to discuss Women’s rights “this is the headline of this month UVIC newspaper.

Shirin Ebadi, the first Iranian and Muslim woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, will speak on March 3 at 8 p.m. in ….

Actually I booked ticket in advanced to attend. I wonder woman’s right is related to which area in her opinion!! If you wanna come with me I can provide you with ticket

By the way, I went to ice-skating last week. It was great. It doesn’t seem so difficult but it is so difficult. In one hour practicing, I learnt how to stand up after falling down. There was a kid whom I really appreciate him. He encouraged me not to be afraid of falling. At the end of session, when I could get up without help, he told me “Good Job”. To be honest it was somehow embarrassing. All kids skated so fast and I fell down TELEP TOOLOOP.

Next updated post will be about Shirin Ebadi speech or “Persepolis” movie.

Hiking!

Hiking!

Today was wonderful day for me… I found new Muslim friends with different nationalities recently… we set a time to go hiking… I really love wild nature of Victoria…

I packed all my stuffs last night to leave home as soon as possible… we were supposed to be downtown at 8 am. It was around 8:15 that I woke up by my cell phone ring… yeah! I fell sleep… It was embarrassing specially when you wanna go out with 3 new friends

Fortunately they were so nice and wait for me to get there…it was the first time that I went by bus by myself…

I was curious about the yellow rope in the bus ,so I pull it down and wait to get what may happened after a while the bus stopped and bus driver opened the door and looked at me…I responded to his glance by smile, just for being nice!!

He asked me: "don’t you wanna get off?"

Yay! I got it!! You can have stop request by puling down the yellow rope!!

Anyways…we (Zeinab (from Kuwait), Fatima (from Oman) and Lina (from canda)) keep going to Thetis Lake Park…

At the gate of the park we met the old lady from India … she told us that she was familiar with this park and she could help us to find the way through the woods… I like that old lady …she was so energetic and also sportswoman…

We go through the woods… It was wonderful…both parts of nature that I love … deep forest and lake with all wild plant life…

We decided to sing a song in our native language one by one… Zainab and Fatima sang a song that Iran T.V broadcasted it several times…I can’t remember the title of the song…but it was related to prophet Mohammad… after that, lina sang an English song… I don’t have any idea about it …in this part; I was taking photo of beautiful nature…

It was my turn…. Wow! I can say that I’ve not memorized any song correctly and also completely… I searched in my mind all the song I’d heard but nothing I could find … so I started singing…”ye rooz ye agha khargooshe….” the only song that I could remember completely…. All guys liked the song rhythm … Zainab told me:” it was really happy song, it reminds me kids’ songs”

Now, both Katies are on a trip and Clara and I are alone at home… as I told you she is so interested to know about Iran… she found the movie and planned to see it for next week…I am supposed to go with her! Movies’ name is “Persepolis” it’s about Iran… it’s a French movie and as I read a brief introduction about it…. It is about a woman who was against the regime of Iran before revolution …. I mean she was oppressed of Shah regime… and voted to Islamic Republic… and then left Iran to… I can’t remember the country where she went!! Anyways…after coming back …she found the government is totally different from her imagination… and also it’s obvious that this movie is supposed to have some scenes about Komite o begiro babaro shallagho with a tough exaggeration …I can give you more information about this movie (it’s not actual movie..I think it’s animated one) after watching it… I told Clara “I don’t like most of the movies which are mad about Iran by non-Iranian ppl”

Well I put some photos of today adventures on my facebook page… because of the large size of these photos, I know, you can’t download it easily! Fatemeh inam ax !! faghat fek konam filter shekan mikhay…albate facebook to UT filter nabood ….

By the way updating this page doesn’t mean that I took my mid-term exams

yesterday the other roommate arrived in Victoria... I was alone at home when she came home...as I was so curious about her nationality ,as soon as she came out her room I jumped out and said:"Hey! i'm Najmeh"....she was like:"Hello!I am Clara"...

I continued:"khoshbakhtam..." she was confused and thinking about the meaning of this strange word...

whenever I wanna talk fast in English, suddenly a persian word's poured out!then I try to mend it...

her confusion remind me the popular mistake, I always make...in such cases i start laughing out loud that's meaningless for a person whom i talk .... so I started explaining the meaning of the word for Clara...

I got that she is a Ph.D student in "international relationship" field and she is so interested in visiting Iran(Maybe because of critical position of Iran in international relationship and political problems) ...the only point that is so strange for me is:whenever someone show her tendency to come to Iran, she always ask me:"is Iran safe for me?!!!" and most of the ppl ,that I'v met ,don't have any idea about coverage(Hejab) that's mandatory in Iran...

anyway,I think American ppl(US-Canada-Mexico) are more friendly and better in social communication than European ppl...

by the way,My computer is fixed now!!probably it is useful for you to know the problem:

1. I should've updated windows every week. this updating requires acknowledgment of windows license by the website(copyright rules inja bidad mikone)

2. Norton antivirus blocked all my browsers(IE-FireFox) so I should've remove it.

I found the homeless ppl region of Victoria recently.It was not as memorable as it's counterpart in Vancouver...

nowadays, I am so busy...midterm exams will start in two weeks in addition to it researching related to my thesis's gonna be serious!!

I wanna consult with you to make a decision...I don't know if I continue to write my memories here or not...as it seems I couldn't express myself well in English..on the other hand I don't have enough time to learn typing in Farsi!!so we have just 3 options:

1-stop here.

2-continue in pinglish language.

3-continue in English language.

let me know your opinion about this!?

Other day in Victoria!

I don't know why! but every computers that i've bought up to now, would be out of order after 2 days!! now i don't have any computer at home and i am updating by using Lab computer!

last night I wanted to go to future shop, from which I've bought my laptop, in order to fix it and it was a real disaster to get there by bus....fortunatly my dear roomate, katie from Canda(as i didn't tell you I have 2 roomates with the same name:katie....one of them is from US and the other from Canda...) gave me ride to there...

both of us got on the car...katie was waiting and i couldn't get the reason of her waiting...at last she told me:don't you wanna fasten your seatbelt.... I prefer not to tell her that fastening seat belt's got mandatory in iran just recently and i adat nadaram to do so!!

so i started khalibandi and told her:"I used to driving my car in iran which will make an automatic warning ,like beep,if you don't fasten your seat belt

she asked me about driving in iran and I kam nayavordam o siad to her"as I live in Tehran I can say,tehran trafic's so heavy that it may take so long to get to your destination"

she asked me"r drivers courteous in tehran?"(i don't tell u how much it takes her to describe the meaning of couteous for me)

i couldn't tell her lie bcz of morality that is unseparatable from my characteristics so i told her"yes of course,u know, ppl in iran and specially in tahran r so kind and really nice... and also, in iran, all men really bilieve in"ladies first!"

she suprised and told me:"I wish here was so"

as it seems i'm really trying hard not to use persian words in order to improve my English so if you know the meaning of some persian words which i used and made them BOLD,plz let me know too

in the middle, she did apologize bcz she wanted to go to the faiway(Grocery Store) and asked me if I wanna buy some groceries...and i told her"as a real of fact i don't need any thing but i can give u walk!!"

in a nut shell...we went to the grocery store and finally i couldn't bring my stuff without her help

now...I met the other chinese student of my supervisor...mordam ta esmesho dorost talafoz kardam.....HIYAH...this is his name...he told me that Gulliver(my supervisor) is interested in iranian and chinese students.... and half of his students r iranian and another half:chinese...

by the way ....today i saw the indian boy whom i told before.... i wanna use elvator and he came to use it too..... i stared at him as i saw a smelly cat (labo locha ro too maye haye kami ta ghesmati avizoon daravordam)... and came down by stairs! dark mane gaaaaaaaaaaav!!

Hi everybody

I az roo naraftamo tas gereftam ke update konam...in a nutshell dont consider my poor english...so I can tell u so many funny memories!!..it is so difficult for me to remember farsi...thats obvious, I know ok..jump to asle matlab...as a real of fact,I dont know az koja shoroo konam... but I tell u somhow about my journey to Canada

now, I am in my office and I supposed to do searching related to my theses....but at this moment I dont have any hal to do so...I wanna tell u about today

about an houre before ago,I was coming to my office by elevator... in the levator was a really daghoon indian boy....he was the most awful boy that I've ever seen...

nazanin kachal told me about some hiz man here but I couldn't understand how a foreign man can be hiz

he started scanning my body from noke kallam ta tumb angoshte pam...and i dont tell u about some parts of my body that he zoom kard on them...

in the end he asked me: where r u from...mane mangoolam az oon jayee ke nemidoonestam....che joori bayad halesho begiram....besh mese adam hesabi javab dadam....he shaked his head and raft gooresho gom kard!!..but now I think I should've said to him its none of your business dark man e hendiye badbakhte hiz...

I don't know how I can hali konam to blogfa to put these dots at the end of my sentence not begining of it

last night I went to the movie with all other my persian friends to watch "assassination of jesse james"the most famous and popular movie here... but it was the most awful movie that I've ever seen... it was about a dangerous train rubber in US... throgh the movie they killed each other even their friends ...all the movie was about violence and beating an bleeding and so on...

I ham ke latiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiif with a very hasaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas sprit...so during the show I was asleep and var miraftam ba cellphone...suddenly the old lady beside me...stared at me and told me :shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....at first I tought she really needed WC....but with some consentration,I got her meaning....I know :I am sooooooooooooo smart

ok barobach ...for today thats enough....you can be shahede my improvement in englesh bashin...by tracking my posting in this weblog....in addition i will teach you some loooooooti word in this weblog...

okeeeeeeeeeeeey....have alot of fun...and take caro ina...
